(AT THE 5^TH WORLD CONGRESS FOR PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY AND CARDIAC SURGERY)   

CAIRNS, AUSTRALIA, JUNE 22-25, 2009   

The Second Scientific Meeting of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery will take place in Cairns, Australia next June 22-25, 2009. The World Society Meeting will be during the 5^th World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. There will be a comprehensive Postgraduate Course on Common Atrioventricular Junction. There will also be several scientific sessions with oral presentations as well as posters. Some of these sessions will be jointly chaired by the World Society as well as the World Congress. A Joint World Society/World Congress Surgical Program Committee will review the abstract submissions in January 2009 and notifications of acceptance will be sent out in early February 2009. 

We invite you to attend the World Society Scientific Meeting and the 5^th World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery and to consider submitting material for presentation. The deadline for submission of an abstract is January 2, 2009. In order to avoid duplication in the submitting process, all submissions will be through the World Congress website. Please go to http://www.pccs2009.com/ and follow the appropriate links to make your submission. Detailed instructions can be found of this website. Be certain to select “Surgery” as the category of your abstract for it to be considered for the World Society Meeting at the World Congress.
